In Troop 42 you will
have the opportunity to go camping about one weekend a month, earn merit
badges & ranks toward Eagle Scout, go canoeing, kayaking, climbing,
biking, hiking, whitewater rafting, and much more. We always have a
blast, even at our regular meetings there is always something to laugh
about. You won't be sorry if you come check us out!
You can take a look at things we have done in the past on our Been There, Done That page. |

We have over 50 scouts and more than 15 leaders! But of course we could always use more!! |
| Troop 42 has over 70 years of history in
Lake Bluff, providing the highest quality programs for young men. Taking
pride in its commitment to the honorable standards of Boy Scouting, the
Troop leadership has composed the attached "Code of Conduct"
to be adhered to by the scouts of Troop 42.
The
scouts in Troop 42 are an extremely diverse and admirable group of young
men. Be assured that the leadership recognizes all of the changes and
challenges that these scouts are experiencing in their 11th through 18th
years of life. With this Code of Conduct, the leadership is hoping to
provide a nurturing atmosphere that allows for each individual's needs
and future growth, while maintaining the continued excellence of Troop
42. It is anticipated that every scout will do his very best to comply
with the Code of Conduct at all times, living by the Scout Oath and Law.
After
you have read the "Code of Conduct" and understand each point,
please sign on the line provided showing good faith that you agree to
abide by the rules as well as the decisions made by the Committee. After
you have made your pledge, please ask your parent(s) to read and sign in
their respective spot indicating their understanding and support. When
all signatures are obtained, return the form to the Committee Chairman.
If
you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ned Rockwell, Committee
Chairman (295-8027), or Chuck Brandon, Scoutmaster (283-9242). -Troop
