Al Fifhause, President |
The
president of GSS, Al Fifhause, started the company in 1994 as a consulting
company to church and other nonprofit organizations. In 1996, Al accepted
the challenge to develop a software package designed specifically for
the operations of a denominational office. That challenge took the company
in a new direction, which remains to this day. Prior to the founding
of GSS, Al gained twelve years of experience serving The United Methodist
Church as an "internal consultant" to its many general, regional
and local offices. This gave him an understanding of the systems needs
and practices of these offices. Prior to that, Al served as an ordained
pastor in The United Methodist Church. Al holds a bachelor's degree in
Mathematics and Computer Science, and a Master of Divinity degree. aef |

Lori D. Smith |
Another member of our team is Lori D. Smith. Lori was one of our first users of Mission Southwest (the predecessor to MissionBase) as a beta-tester of the program for the Missouri Conference. Having worked as the Administrative Assistant for the Southeast District of Missouri for eight years, Lori was a daily user of GSS software. She brings to the team the practical, everyday application of the MissionBase program as it is used in the District and Conference settings. Lori now works full-time for GSS providing software training, technical support, authoring the User Guide and our monthly publication, the Eagle Eye, as well as maintaining and updating our website. More recently, Lori has begun doing programming several of our customized reports, and is working on developing new web-based applications for MissionBase. On a personal note, when Lori isn't providing support for GSS, you can probably find her on the back of her horse, Goldie. | Contact Information: |
